Tree of Hope

For anyone whose life has been affected by addiction, the holiday season can be an especially difficult time.   From November 1st through December 31st, the Central Nebraska Council on Alcoholism and Addictions, Inc. (CNCAA) is offering an opportunity to celebrate the joys of recovery, share HOPE with those still struggling with addictions, to fight stigma, and give a little something back.

We invite you to participate in the Tree of Hope Project.  Our goal is to fill one tree with 500 advocacy ornaments and lots of lights to help show that recovery is possible, truly something to celebrate, and give HOPE to those still struggling.

HOPE is GRATITUDE  - as Melody Beattie says, “Gratitude turns today’s pain into tomorrow’s joy.”

HOPE is RECOVERY – reduce stigma of addiction

HOPE is HEALTH – strive toward community awareness of substance abuse

HOPE is MEANING – honor individuals who have helped you

HOPE is RECOGNITION – remember those who have lost their lives to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.

All the funds raised stay at the Council and will help to support current prevention programs such as Kids Power!, expand the lending library, provide individuals and families with information on accessing substance abuse treatment, 12-Step support groups, and other substance abuse services.  This year we will be featuring a collectible hand-blown glass ornaments commemorating the Tree of Hope Campaign!! (A limited quantity is available.)
